Event Permit Process -- Getting Streamlined
Streamlining the OHV/4x4 Event Permit Process
Note passed on from Don Amador, BlueRibbon Coalition
Here is short news article with quotes from various recreationists, agency staff, and Congressman LaMalfa.
One of the first articles on The GO Act - a legislative effort to streamline the recreation event permitting process for both motorized and non-motorized events.
This continues to be an important effort to lower permit costs, reduce
application approval wait times, reduce administrative red-tape, etc. This bill will also reinstate the categorical exclusion for motorized events – a very big help.
As many of you know, BRC/sharetrails.org has been
making a pitch to Congress on this subject for the last 7 years and continues to be part of a growing list of recreation organizations that support this effort.
Bill by LaMalfa seeks to streamline outdoor visits
